STEPHANIE P. SCOTT

After working for many years in a corporate environment I discovered a new outlook on life and a new passion to accompany it. With a eye for color and composition I use various materials in my art such as paper, ink, paint and other found textiles that evoke my interest. Living most of my life in Coastal Virginia, my work embodies a flair for nature and the aquatic. My appreciation for the serenity of Asian art is most likely  due to living in Japan for a while. This Japanese influence combined with my 1960’s American spirit creates an aesthetic fusion of my very own that continues to grow and develop my own artistic style. 

Although never formally trained I've always had a passion for aesthetically pleasing designs, honing my skills in my early years through pottery, fashion, decor and interior design. When my daughter bought a new house in Savannah, she challenged me to produce art for her walls and help decorate her home. That was the beginning of my art venture.
